Chess Club is jointly organizing National Rapid Chess Tournament in Bhaktapur
on the date of Asoj 2-3 as Nepali calendar & September 18th to 19th
2018 as international calendar.
Organizers are delighted to welcome all the chess players to
play in the historical and cultural city, Bhaktapur. The venue of the
tournament will be Boxing hall near Kamalbinayak Chowk and total cash prize is
about 50 thousands Nepali rupees guaranteed for best seventeen players.
Former national chess champion Surbir Lama of
Kathmandu was the defending champion of this rapid chess event. Bhaktapur
district chess association is supporting technically for the success of the
event, where Majdoor Daily, Majdoor Online & Nyatapolan Express were going
to cover its news officially.
The tournament will be played under FIDE rules of RAPID play
on swiss format of nine rounds. Players have to pay 500 rupees for the
participation & last date for registration is 31st of Bhadra as
published on circular provided.

System of Play :The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System. 10 rounds will be played.
Tie Break :In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. However the Cash prizes will be shared.
Time Control :90 min. + 30 sec. as an increment from beginning move.
Last Date of Entry :15th September, Thursday(2068 Bhadra 29). Late entry shall be accepted with extra fee of Rs.250 on the venue till 19th September (Ashoj 2) 10 am.
The Organizers have right to accept or reject any entry without giving any reason.
Free Lodging will provide to all outstation players. Food facility also given to all Women candidates
Age Proof Certificate is necessary for the claim of age group category prizes.
