NRYU Rapid Chess

28th NRYU Establishment Day Rapid Chess 2018

Nepal Revolutionary Youth Union Sports Committee & Bhaktapur Chess Club is jointly organizing National Rapid Chess Tournament in Bhaktapur on the date of Asoj 2-3 as Nepali calendar & September 18th to 19th 2018 as international calendar.

Organizers are delighted to welcome all the chess players to play in the historical and cultural city, Bhaktapur. The venue of the tournament will be Boxing hall near Kamalbinayak Chowk and total cash prize is about 50 thousands Nepali rupees guaranteed for best seventeen players.

Former national chess champion Surbir Lama of Kathmandu was the defending champion of this rapid chess event. Bhaktapur district chess association is supporting technically for the success of the event, where Majdoor Daily, Majdoor Online & Nyatapolan Express were going to cover its news officially.

The tournament will be played under FIDE rules of RAPID play on swiss format of nine rounds. Players have to pay 500 rupees for the participation & last date for registration is 31st of Bhadra as published on circular provided.

Tournament Details:
Venue: Lalitpur District Sports Development Committee, Prayagpokhari Lalitpur.
•System of Play: FIDE Laws of Chess, Swiss System 9 rounds.
•Tie Break: In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall ruled/Cash will not be shared.
•Time Control: 60 min+30 sec. as increment from beginning move.
• The Organizers have right to accept or reject any entry without giving any reason.
• All outstation participants will be provided free hotel accommodation. on 2/3 sharing.

Tournament Rules:
System of Play:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 9 rounds. Swiss Manager software will be use for pairing.

Time Control:
90 minutes plus 30 second increment from move 1.

Tie Break:
In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in effect. However Cash Prize will not be Shared.

Accommodation:
All out station players will be arranged free lodging on sharing basis. The accompany have to pay Rs. 2,000/-.

Weather:
The weather in Charikot during May expected be pleasant.
